Who would ever have believed I would see so much of Portugal in such a short space of time?? Certainly not me!! I am so grateful to my dear friend and soul sister Helene, for taking me all over the place, opening her heart and home to me. These photos are taken in and around the home of her in-laws - thank you for your hospitality and a chance to truly relax and unwind on your lovely quinta. Encounters with family and other friends, delicious meals and here I met the delightful children.

I was amazed at the little villages, the roads winding through them with barely enough space to pass between houses! And each little village has at least one shrine - a most devout nation.
